swallows of kabul…blahblahblah

i took a nap.
i am still tired.
i can’t do the school thing anymore.

aw;oefijaw;oeifjaw;ofi

aaaaaaaaaaaaa~ ok what.

now i’m realizing this post is really useless.

i shouldn’t have started this post.

i’d be nice if i could write a book and then be famous.

but first, camwhoring of france trip:

one of the first pics taken…riding a bus at place de la concorde…i think

You don’t see streets or buildings like this anywhere else in the world…

*the yogurt i ’stole’ from my host family on the first night*

le franprix. aka, small supermarket near the apartment. did you know some types of french milk don’t need to be refrigerated until the bottle has been opened? maybe all the extra fat preserves it…yum.

*obligatory tour eiffel shot*

myself and mika blinking.

the highschool that our hosts went to.

i forget what this is…but it’s pretty.

cindy and alex at the fountain near le beaubourg.

they have a lot of carousels. look at the checkerboard marking on the street, lol.

ok crystal kids, recognize this? ya, it’s the original tapestry, dating from 121411234 BCE. i think ours only dates from about 1231 BCE.

nighttime shot. i was wearing heels on the worst day. it hurt.

at the paris opera to see a ballet by a random ballet company. we’re high up…

my ‘first’ time at disneyland. i wanted to take eurostar to london…

*obligatory notre-dame gargoyle shot over paris*

le mont saint-michel was really rather surreal.

see? it’s in the middle of nowhere. wouldn’t it be fun to spend the night there?

insane normandy beach. do we have beaches like this in california?

“the sand bathed in the blood of our american brethren!” not.

we went to…the WWII american cemetary? ok.

a cathedral in northern france. apparently it has a belgic gothic style to it? or was it some other style…

anddd a photo from the infamous towel shoot. starring alex and mika.

france is just a better place than america. it’s rather hard to argue against that.

389 DAYS

…until i graduate from highschool. people who know me notice that i have a habit of keeping track of the number of days until we’re free from crystal…and im pretty sure it gets sort of annoying after awhile, but HEY w/e.

nevertheless, i am markedly excited for senior year. i mean, besides the fact that the administration is becoming something akin to the WWII Nazi regime (it’s a bad example…sorry), there are some things to look forward to.

but, on the subject of the school administration…first of all, they need to quit with the hypocrisy. they throw a bitchfit about declining admissions numbers and a community image of “oh-that-school-that-is-hella-nerdy-and-has-too-much-hw,” but then they deem it necessary to draw the reins in on school spirit and individual personality.

well, ok. we don’t get senior prank next year. that just gives me an amazing excuse to buy the most outrageous (risqué) costume imaginable to greet the new families (who were obviously so offended by spray-painted cars and caution-taped buildings and who i’m sure will absolutely adore my personal mode of expression).

really, though, this school has stopped surprising me. ive learned in the past months, that as long as you expect exactly what should not happen, you’ll always be on top of things. i’m not complaining though; karma has a way of coming back to you, and overall i’d say that this year has lead to quite a few unexpected changes. for example

  1. i’ve become more ‘open?’ – im only putting this because several people are convinced that i’ve broadened my world of interaction…i actually have no proof for this. but it’s still an outcome.
  2. im now ‘friends’ with at least two adults who happen to be on the very same administration (quelle horreur).
  3. i (this is the surprising one) ran for a position on student council (that’s surprising enough)…and won? that one still has a definitive kick to it. if i had asked my freshmen self if i thought i’d ever do something like that…i would have laughed. but like i said. karma exists. and i, in no way, have been properly repaid (and thanks to the essence of the matter, i never will be).
  4. i did an exchange in paris with a french girl. and i learned that despite being somewhat proficient in the language/accent in my own lovely apfrenchlang class, i ultimately fail. end of story. but in paris i did manage to start my own GL wardrobe. and that, in and of itself, is a dramatic change.
  5. harhar, i got my year on my license (four days ago), i.e., i can drive as fast as i want and not have to worry about going to court or seeing my insurance rate skyrocket.

im sure there are other things but HAHA i’m lazy. i wonder what i’ll be like as a second semester senior…well, i’ll definitely not care about APs so much. this year, i basically killed myself with the procrastination-study plan. but you know…one gets by…

btw, my schedule for next year (if things work) is:
AP Physics C
AP Bio
AP French Lit
AP BC Calc
AP English
…and then for fine arts….dance production and vicks chicks yaya

im really looking forward to senior projects. at the moment, im sort of brewing ideas and im stuck between doing something youtube related with a friend and learning how to make clothes (XD…not very original, i know, but it looks really fun/frustrating).

blahblahblah, im just ranting.

to finish off, my summer looks like dis:

-three weeks of being here
-one month at…MIT math/computer/physics program??
-rest of summer home + some ballet or i’ll totally forget how to dance (yeah right)

sounds exciting, right?
